Hot, Hot, Hot

Well, it's hot down here. We have been in the upper 80's to low 90's for a week now. Our grass has burned up and gone dormant on us. We now have a brown lawn, as opposed to a green lawn.
Kaitlyn started her Color Guard practices today, so I hope she brought a lot of water with her, because it's going to be hot. We have the big fireworks show tonight in Detroit if it doesn't rain. Livonia had their fireworks show on Sunday night and I had to guard a cemetery because it was in the "blast" zone. I was doing this as part of my CERT program that I did in April. (Part of the Community Emergency Response Team)

I know that these postings are not in the correct order, but I'm just learning how to create a blog and get everything set up. I had pictures of the kids on here from their birthday party, but I didn't like the job I did, so I re-did it.

Father's Day 2007

I had a wonderful Father's Day. I had breakfast in bed and got an iced tea maker, oh which I have put to use already.

I know, it's a goofy look, but it was a good day.

June Update

Well, it's the day before the last day of school. Tomorrow the kids have a half day and then they are done! Today, Kaitlyn started Driver's Education, so if you are in the area, stay off the roads because she will be on the roads soon.
