Niagara Falls

Well, we're back from Niagara Falls. It was nice, but the food was very expensive there. We even went cheap on lunch and breakfast was free with the hotel, but we still spent about 60-70 for each dinner. Pop in the hotel was $2.00 a bottle. The exchange rate was not very good either, it was $1 US gets you $1.015 CAN.

But, here are some pictures from the falls.

Weekly Post

Well, it's been a while, so I figured I better post something. We have been very busy working around the house these last few weeks. We have a new roof now, one that will hopefully last more than 10 years. The new roof has a 30 year warranty, so we are going to be in this house for at least that long. We have also been painting. We just finished up painting Patrick's room. We went from four different colored walls to faded denim walls and white ceiling. It took some time to do, but it's done.

Also, we don't have kids this week. Grandma and Dzia Dzia (Norma's parent's for those who don't know) offered to take them to Evergreen Resort for the week. We were kind of surprised that they offered, but I think they were concerned that the family wasn't going to be represented this week in Canada because it's only them and Becky and Jon going from the family. Patrick has already called and said he's home sick, but I think that's just because he hasn't found a friend yet.

We are going to start painting Kaitlyn's room next, so that will be fun. She wants the room to be brown and pink, I'm not sure how we're going to do that yet, but we're working on it.

July is here already!!

I can't believe it, but July is already here. The first two week in July the Plant I work at is shut down, so I don't have to spend all day at the plant. That makes for a nice break from work. I still have to keep my phone on and check email, but at least I don't have to drive 40 miles to go to the plant.
We are getting our roof re-done on Thursday (July 5th). We have been in this house for ten years and already need a new roof. We are not very happy with the builder of our house. They put on the cheapest roof that was possible. We haven't tried to call the builder because he will just stall and drag out anything until doomsday. If anyone out there is considering using Kaften Enterprises, I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere.
I've been slacking on photos on the blog. I need to start taking more pictures and posting them. I wanted to update it at least every week, so I'm doing my weekly update.
